The facility offers a great deal of indoor and outdoor space for children to explore their daily world, with vast areas to move about.
The entrance to the school is an elegant lobby featuring unique craftsmanship, elevated ceilings, and a cozy sitting area decorated with the children’s personal art work. The passageway from the lobby into the classroom corridors takes you to our very own sanctuary. We like to think of this area as the central heartbeat and hub of our school. It creates a peaceful and serene feeling as one takes a moment with a child, and imagines what the day will bring. As you gaze up into the elevated octagon ceiling your view is endless clouds in the sky created and painted by local artist, Emery Clark. A touch of Claude Monet’s soft colors and Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel’s magical wonder combined to provide the children with a sense of tranquility in time. All of the colors used in the school have been carefully selected from the latest research. These colors promote calmness within children, which in turn have been found to enhance feelings of confidence and competence. The setting therefore presents a higher quality learning environment.

Extensive security measures are taken at Planet Kids Academy. Closed-circuit TV monitors provide continuous surveillance and digital recordings of every classroom and main areas of the school building. Monitors are viewed daily by administration for continued safety.

Mrs. Ashley St. Angelo - Director
Ms. Ashley is a valued and tenured employee of the Academy for the past 15 years. She began her career with PKA in 2005 as a Lead Teacher and has taught several different age groups before being promoted to Administrative Assistant to then - Executive Director, Darlene Pevoto. Ms. Ashley was given a thorough training of the total operations of an Early Childhood facility and when Ms. Darlene was ready to retire in 2014 - Ms. Ashley was promoted to Director where she has assumed responsibility for overall management, all licensing requirements, maintenance of all operations, securing the health, safety and welfare of all Staff, Parents and children of the Academy and upholding and promoting the standard of excellence that the Academy strives to maintain. Ms. Ashley and her family live in Covington.
Mrs. Carol Travis - Administrative Assistant/Front Desk
Ms. Carol began her career at the Academy as a Teacher - having worked as a Float, Assistant and Lead Teacher over the years. In this year of 2020 Ms. Carol has been promoted to her new position at the Front desk where she provides clerical support to the Director and can when needed be appointed to a classroom for subbing or additional teaching support and supervision of children. Ms. Carol is valued for her creative and loving disposition, as well as, her dependability and dedication. She resides in Covington with her family.
